William 'Bill' A. Pulliam | 1943 - 2020 |

William ‘Bill’ A. Pulliam, 77, of Hutchinson, died May 2, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born February 8, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri, to William and Mildred (Decker) Pulliam.

Bill graduated from Larned High School in 1961 and attended Hutchinson Community College. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. Bill loved to golf and bowl. He loved all sports and his favorite teams were the Royals, Chiefs, and Jayhawks.

On June 3, 1997, Bill married Elaine Parker, in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives.

Other survivors include son, Ty (Cherish) Pulliam, Hutchinson; daughters, Kelly (Kelly) Roberts, Shona (John) Helms , both of Larned, and Vonda (Toby) Halfhill, Great Bend; son, Stacy Pulliam, Independence, Missouri; stepdaughters, Diana (Jim) Borders, and Shawn (Troy) Driskell; stepsons, Doug and Duane Millet, all of Hutchinson; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A private family service will take place beside the grave at Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the ALS Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
