
Juanita Mae Ketchum, 80, died April 28, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born December 7, 1939, in Munjor, the daughter of Aegidius and Clara (Gross) Pfannenstiel.
Juanita graduated from St. Teresa Catholic High School. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. After raising her five boys, Juanita spent 31 years as a cook for Holy Cross Catholic School. Her greatest joy in life was her family.
On April 11, 1959, Juanita married LeRoy W. Ketchum in Hutchinson. They shared 61 years of marriage. He survives.
Also surviving are sons, Tom and Tanya, Shell Knob, MO, Tim and Cindy, Hutchinson, Terry and Kristy, Sylvia, Troy and Sherry and Todd, all of Shell Knob; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Westgate (Ralph, Hutchinson, and Velma Seitz (Nick) of Kennebunk Port, ME; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Darlene Melland, Dolores Crathorne, and Freda Young.
Private family Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 4, 2020, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Ave., with Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 to 5 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
