HUTCHINSON Kan. — Hutch Rec and the area Vitality Team will once again host the Sand Plum Bicycle Classic.
This year's event is set for Sunday, June 7, starting at 8 a.m. from Voss Park in South Hutchinson. This year the ride will take cyclists south on a 14-mile, 25-mile or 50-mile ride. Cities included in the ride are Arlington, Abbyville and Partridge. Lunch is provided afterward for riders registering for the 14-mile, 25-mile and 50-mile rides.
This is not a race, but a fun ride for all to enjoy and you can ride at your leisure. There is also a 5-mile family route available. The registration fee is $25 and includes a T-shirt, snack and drink stops along the tour. Children under age 14 are welcome to ride for free. All riders must wear a helmet. You can register at hutchrec.com.
Proceeds from the ride benefit the Friends of the Trail fund at the Hutchinson Community Foundation to support the walking/cycling trails in Reno County.
