
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The earnings reports for companies with local ties to the area continue on Wednesday when Archer Daniels Midland releases its first quarter report after the market close.
The oilseed giant is expected to report earnings of $0.58 per share compared with $0.49 in the same quarter of 2019, according to Zacks Investment Research.
ADM, which operates five elevators in Hutchinson, reported earnings of $1.42 per share in the previous quarter and total earnings of $496 million, an increase of $184 million.
The company spent most of 2019 offering early retirement for a number of employees in both the U.S. and Canada. It also consolidated several sectors of the company in a series of cost-cutting moves.
