BUHLER, Kan. — Prairie Hills Middle School has received a grant from a Kansas Utility company that will go to improve STEM education at the school.
Kansas Gas Service awarded a $1,800 grant to Prairie Hills that will provide materials for the Crusaders Create! Summer STEM Camp for 4th through 7th-grade students.
Students will experience applied methods of learning where they use basic system design, the engineering design process, and programming fundamentals. Students will be introduced to potential STEM career pathways and will be shown strong connections with math and science topics.
