COVID-19 case up to 20 in Reno Co.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Reno County jumped by three today.

The Reno County Health Department announced Friday afternoon that there are now 20 positive cases of COVID-19. Two other cases were confirmed and announced by the Health Department Friday morning.

The newest positive case is a female in her 70’s with an unknown source of exposure. She is currently hospitalized and no further information as case contact investigation is underway. Earlier on Friday the Health Department said that two females, both in their 40’s also tested positive. Both are in home isolation.

Six previously confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Reno County have completed recovery and are nonsymptomatic.

As always remember to practice good hygiene with frequent hand washing, proper respiratory etiquette such as coughing and sneezing into your elbow bend, limit handshakes and physical contact. Stay home if you are feeling ill and call your primary care physician to discuss your symptoms.
