
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Thursday traffic stop resulted in an arrest on burglary charges in Hutchinson.
According to a release from the Reno County Sheriff's Office, a stop was made in the 900 block of East 8th at 5:10 p.m. Thursday because the vehicle matched the description of one used to commit a burglary in the county on March 31st.
Nicholas A Karches was driving. Karches was interviewed and arrested on Burglary of a Non-Dwelling, Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, Felony Theft, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Xanax. Karches is currently being held in the Reno County Correctional Facility on a $17,000 bond and is awaiting his court appearance.
The Reno County Criminal Interdiction Unit and the Hutchinson Police Department assisted in the arrest.
