David Stanley Wagler, 77, died April 8, 2020, at his home. He was born January 25, 1943, in Hutchinson, to Willie and Alma (Nisly) Wagler.
David was a 1969 graduate of Bethel College, Newton, and attended graduate school at Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL. He was an administrator for the Slavic Gospel Association from 1973 to 1992. David also taught high school mathematics, science, and English, and was a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley and Wagler Investment Solutions.
He was a member and elder of the Berean Baptist Church, Hutchinson.
On January 1, 1975, he married Patricia ‘Trish’ Anne Hershberger in Canton, OH. They shared over 45 years of marriage.
David is survived by: his wife, Trish Wagler of Yoder; children, Rochelle Sylvester of Hutchinson, Vanya (Maeleena) Wagler of Wichita Falls, TX, Bethany (Paul) Page of Hutchinson, Maria Wagler of Champaign, IL, Esther (Nick) Egli of Yoder, Sarah (Jordan) Julian of Greeley, CO, and Josiah (Kylee) Wagler of Sterling; 14 grandchildren; and sisters, Evelyn Sauer, Dolores Wagler, and Gloria Miller.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and son, Corporal Peter Daniel Wagler.
Private graveside service will be Friday, April 10, 2020, at the Partridge Cemetery, with Pastor Roger Neir officiating. A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date.
