Bruce Austin Moots, 86, of Hutchinson, KS., passed away on April 3, 2020 at his home with his wife Barbara and his beloved dog Herbie by his side. He was born April 28, 1933, in Hutchinson, KS., the son of Clifford D and Alma E. (Hedger) Moots.
Bruce attended Hutchinson High School. On June 10, 1993 he married Barbara Shanks in Hutchinson, KS. On April 24, 1953 Bruce joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on April 22, 1955. Bruce was an avid pool player, a master carpenter and a stain glass artist.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Gene Moots and William “Bill” Moots and a sister Donna Moots.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Mike Moots and Mark Moots; daughters, Becky Ensz and Leslie Moots; step-daughters, Lisa Hagley and Tammie Kaufman; many grandchildren, his beloved dog Herbie and four pool player buddies Don, Bob, Wade and Max.
There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial may be made to Hutchinson Humane Society and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
