Milton W. Evans, 90, of Hutchinson, died April 2, 2020, at Hutchinson Health and Rehab.  He was born November 15, 1929, in Pratt, and adopted by Howard and Doris (Doan) Evans.

Milton was a 1947 graduate of Hutchinson High School.  He served in the Kansas National Guard and retired with 22 years of service.  Milton worked for Oscar Young Construction, Young Sales and Erection, and retired as the Director of Buildings and Grounds for USD #308-Hutchinson Public Schools in 1991.  He was a member of the Hutchinson-Reno Masonic Lodge #124 A.F. & A.M, and the Hutchinson Water Sports Club for over 40 years.  Milton was a member of Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson.

On July 29, 1950, he married Mardell J. Delaney at the First Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson.  They shared over 69 years of marriage.

Milton is survived by:  his wife, Mardell J. Evans of Hutchinson; daughter, Judy Frank of Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Susan Evans of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Nicholas (Anna) Evans, Benjamin (Paige) Evans, Amanda McLeish, Belinda (Monte) Bridgewater, Emily (Jesse) Caplinger, and Kyle (Katie) Frank; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Evans, Willow Johnson, Bentley Evans, Berklee Evans, Boston Evans, Kale Caplinger, Evan Caplinger, Dylan Caplinger, William Frank, Maverick Bridgewater, and Bearett Bridgewater.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; son, Christopher Evans; daughter, Kathy Evans McLeish; and son-in-law, Randy Frank.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a future date.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2020, through Saturday, April 11, 2020. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
