Hutchinson man facing potential kidnapping charges

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson man is jailed on suspicion of kidnapping and other potential charges after a domestic disturbance Saturday. 

Hutchinson Police reports that Jerome Windom was at a home with a female and two children. According to reports, Windom became drunk and threatened the woman and children with a knife. The children ran to a neighbor. When the neighbor walked in Windom is said to have had the knife in a stabbing position with the woman pinned up against the refrigerator. The neighbor was able to free the victim and held Windom at gunpoint until police arrived. Windom also faces potential charges of aggravated child endangerment, assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery. 

His bond has been set at  $118,500.
