HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County registered its eleventh case of COVID-19 Sunday evening.

The newest positive case is a female in her 60s with an unknown source of exposure. She is in home isolation per guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The department cannot release any further information as case contact investigation is underway.

Remember the State of Kansas is under a Statewide Stay Home Order. This means all citizens are directed to stay in their homes unless performing an essential activity as described in Executive Order No. 20-16 signed by the Governor of Kansas.

The department continues to highly encourage Reno County residents to be dependent on health authorities to provide the most accurate information on COVID-19.

Please practice good hygiene with frequent hand washing, proper respiratory etiquette such as coughing and sneezing into your elbow bend, limit handshakes and physical contact. Stay home if you are feeling ill and call your primary care physician to discuss your symptoms.
