RENO COUNTY— An accident in Reno County on K-96 resulted in EMS being called Saturday night and a ticket for a Wichita driver.
According to a post from the Reno County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to K-96 and Worthington just after 9 p.m. Saturday.
A vehicle driven by 37- year-old Ponhrath A. Nguon of Wichita rear ended a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Eric V. Nichols of Mount Hope as Nichols was slowing to turn south on to Worthington.
Nguon initially complained of pain in his hand, but EMS checked him out and released him at the scene. Both drivers were buckled up. Nguon's airbags deployed. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Nguon was ticketed for following too closely.
