
HUTCHINSON, Kan.— Reno County sales tax figures for the month of March were essentially flat from the previous year.
According to figures released from the Treasurer’s office sales tax revenue totaled $346,757 compared with $346,030 in 2019.
As usual, revenue fell from February to March since February’s numbers reflect the Christmas shopping season. Tax collections month-to-month were down about $68,000. Tax numbers for March reflect sales for the month of January.
For the first quarter sales tax revenue for the county totaled $1,140,403 or about $58,000 ahead of last year.
