HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As expected, Reno County Commissioners gave approval to the incentive package to Superior Boiler Works during Tuesday's agenda session.
The incentive package, paid out over four years, totals $78,000. It matches a similar package recently approved by the Hutchinson City Council.
Superior is closing its water tube boiler facility in Richmond, Virginia and moving it to a building just west of the current plant. The building is currently being used by Siemens for storage but will be vacated in the near future.
The new plant is expected to bring 52 new jobs to Hutchinson.
