On Friday, March 27, 2020, Roy Willis Nachtigal, loving husband and father of four boys, went to meet his lord after a long illness at the age of 87.
Roy was born on June 9, 1932 in Reno County Kansas to Pete and Laura (Dick) Nachtigal. After graduating from Haven High School, he attended HCC and served in the Coast Guard, then worked for KP&L in Hutchinson for 38 years. On September 12, 1958 he married Ann Tuttle. His passions first and foremost were his family, while also tinkering with cars, and watching Westerns. For those who knew him, his quick wit and sense of humor will be missed the most.
Roy is survived by his wife Ann, sons Brad Nachtigal (wife Angie, Kelly Nachtigal, Steve Nachtigal, David Nachtigal (wife Misty, nine grandchildren, two step granddaughters, three step great grandsons.
After cremation, a small funeral service will be conveniently held at a later date at the family farm.
