

Donald ‘Don’ G. Davis, 82, died March 27, 2020, at Wheaton House on the Mennonite Friendship Communities’ campus. He was born November 26, 1937, in Hutchinson, to Albert G. and Tina (King) Davis.
Don was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. He retired from Eaton Corporation (Cessna) after 36 years of service as a machinist. Don was a lifetime member of the First Assembly of God/Hope Church, Hutchinson. He had a hot rod car that he enjoyed entering in car shows, fishing and riding motorcycles. Don built model airplanes, remote controlled boats and wooden clocks.
He is survived by: children, Celeste (Ed) Nicewander and Lance Davis; brother-in-law, Larry Dick; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two nephews; and numerous cousins.
Don was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Judith ‘Judy’ Davis; and sister-in-law, Joyce Dick.
Private graveside service will be held at the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, with Pastor Kendall Sheats officiating. Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date given the current coronavirus situation. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2020, at Elliott Mortuary.
