HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Commissioners have approved a stay-at-home ordinance. The action came after an executive session Friday morning followed by an open meeting.

The ordinance will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday and will be in place for a period of 16 days. The ordinance will be addressed by the County Commission and the Health Department after one week to see how COVID-19 is progressing through the county and how businesses are adhering to social distancing practices.

The County Commission will have three courses of action on April 14. That would be to extend the ordinance, repeal the ordinance or modify it in some way.
