After three seasons, Hutchinson High School head boys’ basketball coach Ted Webster has resigned.
Because of COVID-19 precautions, Webster was unable to meet face-to-face with players and communicated with players via text messaging about his decision.
Webster, a social studies teacher for Hutchinson USD 308 since 1995, was named to the head basketball coaching position in May 2017. In his three years at the helm, Webster’s record was 9-54.
“The HHS Athletic Department is appreciative of the enthusiasm and passion Coach Webster brought to the program,” said Kevin Armstrong, Salthawk athletic director. Webster will remain as a district teacher.
Armstrong said the search process fro a new head coach has begun, looking for the best possible fit for the Salthawks.
