HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As of 5:53 p.m., Reno County now has six positive cases of COVID-19. The new cases Thursday, in addition to those previously announced include:
• Male, in his 60’s with a history of travel outside of the state and is currently in home quarantine.
• Male, in his 50’s with an extensive history of out of state travel and is currently in home quarantine.
The newest confirmed positive as of 5:53 p.m.,
• Female, in her 60’s, with known contact to a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 and is currently in an intensive care unit.
We do not publish or announce identifiable data although when working through contact tracing, we may inform those with potential exposure of contact.
It is extremely important that Reno County residents adhere to no more than 10 individuals in a gathering with social distancing of 6 feet between individuals and that those restrictions be exercised consistently.
We continue to highly encourage Reno County residents to be dependent on health authorities to provide the most accurate information on COVID-19.
Please practice good hygiene with frequent hand washing, proper respiratory etiquette such as coughing and sneezing into your elbow bend, limit handshakes and physical contact. Stay home if you are feeling ill and call your primary care physician to discuss your symptoms.
