Families take advantage of free meal program in USD 308

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Families took advantage of the emergency meal program by Hutchinson USD 308 last week after schools were closed.

According to Spokesperson Ray Hemman, about 7,000 meals were handed out for the week. Currently, the district can't provide meals due to spring break. The program will start up again next week.

Until then, children ages 1-18 can get a grab and go meal from the Buhler School District at both Buhler High School and Union Valley Elementary School on East 30th Avenue in Hutchinson.
