Fred L. Nisly age 95, of Hutchinson KS, died peacefully in his sleep at home on March 21, 2020.  He was born August 18, 1924 in Hutchinson to Levi and Mary (Bontrager) Nisly.

Fred was a lifetime resident of the Hutchinson area, dairy farmer, and member of Center Amish Mennonite Church, Hutchinson.  On November 14, 1946 he married Mary Headings in Hutchinson.  They shared over 59 years of marriage prior to her death on December 5, 2005.

Fred is survived by:  children Maynard and Irene Nisly of Berne, IN, Mary Jane and Orville Miller, Miriam and James Miller, Mark and Lynda Nisly, and Martha and Jon Miller, all of Hutchinson, Esther and John Christner of Oak Hill, and Ruth and Bill Yoder of Sarasota, FL; brother Raymond Nisly and sister Barbara Yoder; 26 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents, wife Mary Nisly, siblings John, Emma, Henry, Lizzie, and Rufus, and two grandchildren.

Private graveside service will be at West Center Cemetery of rural Hutchinson, with Pastor Dwight Miller officiating.  Due to the current coronavirus situation, a memorial service will be announced at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mennonite Central Committee, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
