Commission to consider zoning request

Posted Mar 23, 2020 8:36 AM

HUTCHINSON, Kan. —  Reno County Commissioners will meet in regular session on Tuesday. Because of social distancing rules, there will be very limited seating. The meeting can be viewed at renogov.org/430/agendas-meetings-minutes.

The only item currently up for action is the proposal to expand zoning to an area in the southeast part of the county. The area is located just north and east of Cheney Reservoir.

Residents in the area have pushed for the zoning. After a public hearing and getting everything in order, the matter is finally up for action by the board.

Also Tuesday, the board will get the latest on COVID-19 from Nick Baldetti of the Reno County Health Department.

Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the Reno County Courthouse.
