HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Friendship Meals is still providing services despite the difficulties in dealing with current events. Executive Director Rozie O'Brien says they continue to provide service to 185-200 clients in Hutchinson.
They have changed procedures for delivery service. Those who receive meals are asked to place a cooler outside their residence. The meals will be placed in that cooler to eliminate any contact.
Also, meals are still be served at the Salvation Army at 700 N. Walnut but the meals are carry-out only and no one will be allowed inside.
Serving will run between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and they ask that you call to let them know your plans.
O'Brien also wanted to stress that if you have not used Friendship Meals in the past but feel you may not want to venture out to do shopping, they will provide services to you if you're age 60 and above. If you would like that service call 620-669-8201.
