SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Out of an abundance of caution concerning COVID-19 risks, effective immediately, Mennonite Friendship Communities will begin restricting visitation on its campus in South Hutchinson.
Access to the healthcare center, Wheaton House and the assisted living buildings will be limited to staff and residents’ primary contact person(s). Everyone who enters these buildings will be screened for symptoms of illness and possible contact with others who are ill. This policy will be evaluated in 30 days or sooner if circumstances warrant. If family members have any questions, they should feel free to contact the life enhancement coordinator or nurse who cares for their loved one.
Management is monitoring the situation closely and is participating in a number of community venues with regard to best practices for preventing the spread of the disease.
