Dean Eales, 74, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, March 7, 2020. He was born February 6, 1946, in Hutchinson, to John L. and Bertha M. (Seck) Eales.
Dean was a 1964 graduate of Haven High School. He was a farmer and stockman, partsman for Hamilton LaGreca, and driver for Carl Vincent Plumbing.
Dean’s hobbies included woodworking, John Deere ‘anything’, hunting, and fishing, gardening, and being an outdoorsman.
On September 23, 1990, he married Nancy Kay Lewis, in Hutchinson. His wife, Nancy, of almost 30 years, survives. Also surviving are: children, Lisa Eales Moore (Kerry) of Riley, Corey Eales (Courtney) of Hutchinson, and Sean Moore (Tammie) of Hutchinson; sisters, Joleen Ediger (Gale) of Hutchinson, and Karen McQuilliam of Lindsborg; five grandchildren, Easton Ratzlaff, Bryce Eales, Abigail Moore, Kandis Boyd (Jesse, and T. J. Smith (Abigal); seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Emily, Aalieyah and Joshua Boyd, Sean and Amberllie Smith and Hailey Christmann; and her mother, Shawne Christmann.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and Kathleen Ann Smarsh Eales, mother of Lisa and Corey.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2020, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Nathan Karriker presiding. Friends may sign his register book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
