HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson woman who entered a guilty plea to aggravated battery in a Hutchinson murder case will be sentenced Friday morning in Reno County District Court.

Delshay Vinsonhaler waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded guilty in late January to the single count of aggravated battery in connection with the death of 29-year-old Lora Beth Stratton.

Stratton was found dumped unconscious in an alley on Aug. 24. She died at a Wichita hospital. Vinsonhaler agreed to the plea deal in exchange for a charge of first-degree murder being dropped.

The co-defendant in the case, Isaac Ervin, recently entered a plea of not guilty in the case after his arraignment last week. He faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, intimidation of a witness and unlawful sexual relations.
