 </figure>HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Commissioners gave approval to a conditional use permit request from a couple that wants to open a small restaurant on their property three miles west of Haven.Ferman and Karen Eash want to build the Irish Creek Essenhaus restaurant. The limited family-style restaurant would be open on Saturday only and only nine months out of the year. It would close in June, July and August. The facility would seat about 25 customers at a time and serve family-style meals. The restaurant would run by reservation only. Plans are to have a small gift shop available, too.Also Tuesday, the board approved two purchases for Public Works. The first a new excavator for $167,697 from Murphy Tractor of Wichita and the second was a new crew cab pickup from Midwest Ford at a cost of $26,485.The board also approved the lease agreement with the city for the law enforcement center. The city is expected to approve the agreement during its next meeting.
