Samuel “Sam” Zeiset, 73, died Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge, KS. He was born August 19, 1946 in Chickasha, OK., the son of Daniel and Zelda (Unruh) Zeiset. He was a long time resident of Chickasha, OK. He also lived in Lake Providence, LA. and has resided in Moundridge, KS. since 2019.
Sam was united in marriage to Christine Friesen on May 26, 1974 in Alberta, Canada.
He was a member of the Plainview Mennonite Church, Chickasha, OK.
Sam worked as a farm laborer in the Chickasha, OK. area. He also did land leveling in western Kansas and Louisiana.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Zeiset; sons, Loren (Loretta) Zeiset, Pocasset, OK., Jasper (Joni) Zeiset, Verden, OK., Elwood (Melissa) Zeiset, West Point, MS., Tyson (Melissa) Zeiset, Bradley, AR., and Curt Zeiset, West Point, MS.; daughter, Faylene Zeiset, Moundridge, KS.; three brothers; two sisters; and eight grandchildren.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister; two brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.
Funeral services by Ferguson Funeral Home are being planned in Chickasha, Oklahoma and will be announced at a later date. Moundridge Funeral Home is in charge of Kansas arrangements.
