
HAVEN, Kan. — Haven School Board will go over capital outlay projects for the next year during tonight’s agenda session.
The board has already approved several projects for this summer including a new track at the football stadium, renovated restrooms at the grade school and a new walk-in cooler for the high school kitchen.
During tonight’s meeting, the board will consider several new projects including renovated restrooms and lockers at the middle school, and renovation of the auditorium. Superintendent Clark Wedel says he may ask to have that project moved back to 2021.
The cost of that project is $270,000. The district would also like to upgrade lighting at the stadium and softball fields at an estimated cost of $25,000. That is also slated for 2021.
Also tonight the board will look over the district calendar for next year and consider bringing the Parents as Teachers program back tot he district.
Tonight’s meeting of the Haven School Board begins at 6 p.m. at the school district offices at 414 W. Main.
