
NICKERSON, Kan. — With two seats vacant, the Nickerson USD 309 School Board will take a shot at filling those seats during their Monday meeting.
The board will consider appointment Mike Sullivan for the vacant seat representing Reno Valley. Three patrons have submitted applications for the vacant seat for the South Hutchinson position. They include Mikeal Starns, R.J. Wensel and Larry Meadows.
Also Monday, the board will discuss replacing the track at the high school. The matter was discussed a few months ago but no action was taken. The track is in such shape that the high school has canceled its invitations track meet for this year.
The board will also seek approval of appointing various administrative staff and look over fees for the next school year. Monday’s meeting of the Nickerson USD 309 School Board begins at 7 p.m. at the district offices at 4501 W. 4th Avenue, just west of Fun Valley.
