
BURRTON, Kan — Three people were killed and three others hurt after an accident in Harvey County Friday morning.
The two-vehicle accident happened just before 11 a.m. on US 50 just east of Burrton near Sandhill Road.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a pickup truck was traveling westbound when it attempted to pass some vehicles and struck an eastbound car head-on.
Killed in the accident were 63-year-old Robert C. England, 62-year-old Tresia Lee England and 11-year-old Gage England all of Hutchinson.
Injured in the accident were 51-year-old Eddie Wayne Scott of Buhler, 32-year-old Judith Yvonne Hendricks of Hutchinson and 30-year-old Kristina Raylynn Welch of Midwest City, Oklahoma.
US 50 was closed between Sand Hill and Prairie Lake roads while the accident was investigated.
