HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson fire crews were called out to a structure fire located at 2100 Bonebrake St. at 8:46 a.m. Wednesday.

Crews found a fire located in the basement of the single-story home. Crews had to fight the fire from outside the home because of a weakened ground level floor. The fire was contained to the basement, but caused water, heat and smoke damage throughout the structure.

The cause of the fire was a wood-burning stove located in the basement of the structure that was being used to heat the home. The cost of the damage has not been determined and no injuries were reported.

The Hutchinson Police Department, Reno County EMS and Kansas Gas all assisted with the fire.
