HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson police have given drivers on Plum Street near HutchCC a warning. Now, they'll start writing tickets.
According to a Facebook post from the department Tuesday, they have received complaints on traffic not yielding to pedestrians at the crosswalks on Plum, across from the college.
"This can be a very dangerous situation," police said. "Please watch for pedestrians at any crosswalk, please be prepared to stop whenever they are crossing."
Officers will be monitoring the area and if they see an illegal act, they will pull you over.
