HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One person was shot and another injured in Hutchinson Friday afternoon.
Police were called to the 300 block of East 4th on the report of a male being shot. Upon arrival, officers found a male that had been shot in his arm at 325 E. 3rd Ave. The male was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and then transferred to a Wichita area hospital for surgery. Officers located another male at the same address with a laceration to his head. Police believe this individual was not the one who shot the other male. That person was also taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment and then released.
This is an ongoing investigation and the Hutchinson Police Department will release information as it becomes available.
