
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After not being able to come up with a decision on two different designs for the repainting of the water tower, the Hutchinson City Council will look over four new designs during Tuesday’s meeting.
The council could not decide how to repaint the structure at Avenue A and Adams, which is part of an overall recoating of the interior and exterior of the tower.
The four designs include some parts of the city flag with yellow and blue colors. One also offers just a solid white tank with a gray bottom.
Also Tuesday, the council will go over bids for three parking lot projects at McQueen, Pond Road and lots in the downtown area. The low bid was from Ward Davis Builders at a cost of $521,517. And the council will seek approval of bids for a sewer line and manhole replacement project. The low bid is from SAK Construction at a cost of $881,096.
The council will also hear an update from the Hutchinson Fire Department on its five-year strategic plan that runs through 2023.
Tuesday’s meeting of the Hutchinson City Council begins at 9 a.m. in the Hutchinson city offices.
