Museum Ghost Hunt sold out; more dates scheduled

Posted Feb 26, 2020 9:50 PM

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Back in January, the Reno County Museum announced it was hosting a ghost hunt on March 21. Well, that event sold out very quickly.

So the museum is holding a couple more similar events. The next ghost hunt will be June 6. Tickets are on sale for $25 and will go up to $40 June 1. Space is limited to 16 participants. The museum will also host similar events on Aug. 15 and Oct. 31.

Is the museum haunted? It’s a question that has been asked by many museum visitors. Visitors will get to hunt for the evidence first-hand inside the Reno County Museum, including restricted areas that are not usually open to the public.

The evening will start with a presentation from the Wichita Paranormal Research Society as members discuss the equipment used during investigations as well as their experiences. Staff will also present information about the museum and its history, including stories of the rumored hauntings.

After the presentation, groups will split up inside the museum to start the ghost hunt. At the end of the evening, everyone will reunite and share what was experienced. For more information, contact the museum at 620-661-1184.
