LINDSBORG, Kan. — One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a car driven by 26-year-old Alberto Garcia, of McPherson, was northbound in the 2300 Block of 14th Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a southbound pickup driven by 22-year-old Chase Brown, of Hesston.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Wichita Forensics and Science Center.
Two passengers in the car, 4-year-old Karson Garcia, and 6-year-old Aiden Rosales, were taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A passenger in the pickup, 53-year-old Mario Baquero-Moncayo, of Las Vegas, NV., was taken by EMS to Salina Regional Healthcare Center. Brown and two other passengers in the truck were not injured.
The accident happened just before 8 a.m. four miles south of Lindsborg.
