HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Motorists who use K-61 north out of Hutchinson can expect some delays starting next week. KDOT says workers will be applying new pavement markings on the four-lane.

Work is expected to begin Monday and will run from 30th Avenue to the McPherson County line.

The work is expected to be completed in late March, depending on the weather. During the work, there will be daily lane closures. Drivers should expect to slow down where traffic will be channeled in some places to one lane.

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, of El Dorado, is the contractor for the $183,135 project.
