Gene Yoder, 93, passed away Feb. 6, 2020, at Schowalter Villa. He passed peacefully with Beth holding his hand. He was born Gene Yoder, in McPherson, Kansas June 29, 1926.
He married Dorothy Miller on April 9, 1949.
He is survived by: his children Ken Yoder, Brent (Carla) Yoder, and Beth (Keith) Hostetler; grandchildren, Tracy Yoder-Feit, James Reardon, Mike and Kyle Yoder, Kelsey Ronan, Colin Click, and Alex and Sara Hostetler; great-grandson, Aidan Yoder; and his brother, Dale Yoder.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy and his parents Lawrence and Orpha Yoder and sister Vesta Giltner.
Gene had a strong love for his family, friends and fishing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Gene was a member of the Hesston Mennonite Church.
Graveside service will be with his children and their families. A Celebration of Life in his honor will be held with relatives at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Good Shepherd Hospice, in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 32, Hesston.
