
Hutchinson native, Roberta ‘Bobbi’ A. Ramsey, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born November 21, 1948, in Hutchinson, to Robert W. and Shirley T. (Hazelton) Stout.
During her long career, Bobbi was an engineering clerk and executive secretary for over 20 years, then took a 10 year hiatus. During that time, she volunteered for two organizations that were dear to her heart: Hospice and Homecare of Reno County and Reno County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children in the court system. She saw a need for a secretary/bookkeeper at her church, (St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson) and worked at the church for 11 years prior to her retirement. She loved bowling, reading, and watching her husband and daughter play sports.
On September 20, 1974, Bobbi was united in marriage to Doyle R. Ramsey. They shared over 45 years of marriage.
She is survived by: husband, Doyle Ramsey of Hutchinson; daughter, Theresa (Mark) Walton of Hutchinson; granddaughter, Mahlyn Walton of Hutchinson; sisters, Lynda (Ron) Hendrickson of Grinnell, IA, and Lucy (Stan) Brown of Murfreesboro, TN. Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents.
Parish Rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Ave., Hutchinson, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m., Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
