HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson man has been arrested after he was suspected of threatening three people with a hatchet Saturday afternoon.

Sixty-three-year-old Daniel Jackson is being held in the Reno County jail after his arrest just after 1 p.m. at his residence. He was jailed on suspicion of three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

During his first appearance, Jackson stated that he didn’t remember anything about the incident. Jackson asked for an OR bond citing health reasons. That request was denied by Magistrate Daniel Gilligan. Jackson is being held on a $10,500 bond. Formal charges are expected to be filed by the end of the week.
