HUTCHINSON, Kan. β€” Registration is now open for a rather unique event at the Reno County Museum.

It all centers around a question: Is the museum haunted? It’s a question that has been asked by many museum visitors. Now the museum is giving visitors the chance to find out during a public ghost hunt.

The museum has partnered with volunteers from the Wichita Paranormal Research Society to bring participants a paranormal experience like no other. Visitors will get to hunt for the evidence firsthand inside the Reno County Museum, including restricted areas that are not usually open to the public.

The evening will start with a presentation from the Wichita Paranormal Research Society as members discuss the equipment used during investigations and their experiences. Staff will also present information about the museum and its history, including stories of the rumored hauntings.

After the presentation, groups will split up inside the museum to start the ghost hunt. At the end of the evening, everyone will reunite and share what was experienced. Registration is $25 per person through Feb. 29, then $40 per person through March 21. Space is limited and participants must be 16 years of age or older.

To register, visit www.renocomuseum.org or call 620-662-1184. Space is limited. Must be 16 or older to attend and a parent or guardian must be present for those under 18. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
