KANSAS CITY, MO. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs are in their second successive AFC title game. They got there with a stunning comeback from a 24-0 hole. Patrick Mahomes threw for four touchdowns in the second quarter in the 51-31 victory. Kansas City will host Tennessee for the AFC championship and a trip to the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have not been there since winning the 1971 game. The Titans lost their only Super Bowl appearance in 2000. The NFC title game will have San Francisco hosting Green Bay in what has been a classic playoff rivalry.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — No. 23 Wichita State blew a nine-point lead in the final minute of regulation, but came back to beat UConn 89-86 in two overtimes. Jaime Echenique led four Wichita State players in double figures with 19 points before fouling out. Dexter Dennis and Erik Stevenson each scored 16 for the Shockers, who have won nine straight games. Christian Vital scored 25 points for UConn. The Huskies' Sidney Wilson tied the game at 69 in regulation with a 3-pointer, and he blocked Dennis's shot to send the game into overtime. Etienne opened the second extra period with a three-point play and Wichita State never gave the lead back.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Aaron Rodgers connected with Davante Adams for two touchdowns while completing 16 of his 27 passes for 243 yards and no interceptions as the Green Bay Packers downed Seattle, 28-23 to reach the NFC championship game against San Francisco. Adams racked up 160 yards on eight receptions, while Aaron Jones carried 21 times for 62 yards and two scores. Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith each had two of Green Bay’s five sacks of Russell Wilson, who threw for 277 yards and a TD but couldn’t pull the Seahawks out of a 21-3 halftime hole.
CLEVELAND (AP) — A person familiar with the decision says the Browns have chosen the Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator to replace Freddie Kitchens, who was dismissed after one season and a 6-10 record. round. The 37-year-old Stefanski has been with the Vikings since 2006 and oversaw an offensive attack that flourished this season, headed by quarterback Kirk Cousins, running back Dalvin Cook and receiver Adam Thielen. Stefanski is the sixth coach hired by Browns owner Jimmy Haslam since he bought the team in 2012.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — A person familiar with the deal says the Texas Rangers have agreed on a one-year, $5 million contract with third baseman Todd Frazier, pending a successful physical. The 33-year-old Frazier batted .251 with 21 home runs and 67 RBIs in 133 games for the Mets last season. Third base is one of the primary needs for the Rangers, who lost out on their pursuit of free agent Anthony Rendon when he signed with the division rival Angels.
HONOLULU (AP) — Australian Cameron Smith won his first PGA Tour title by taking the Sony Open in a playoff with Brendan Steele. Two shots behind with two holes to play, Smith made an 8-foot birdie putt on the final hole of regulation before winning it with a two-putt par from 10 feet on the first extra hole. Smith closed with a 68 for an 11-under total, one shot ahead of Webb Simpson.
