WINFIELD, Kan. — Two Reno County residents received minor injuries in a four-vehicle fatality accident in Cowley County Thursday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 25-year-old Dylan Verstraete of Turon was in a semi on K-15 when two vehicles sideswiped each other in front of him. One of the vehicles struck the semi, killing 30-year-old Hilary Archambeau of Winfield. A fourth vehicle then struck the semi.
The driver of the other vehicle, 74-year-old James Berry of Winfield, was uninjured in the accident. Verstraete, his son, 9-year-old Trevor Verstraete, and the driver of the fourth vehicle, 29-year-old Mckenzie Brown of Wellington, were all taken to Wesley Medical Center with minor injuries.
The crash occurred about 10:15 a.m., 10 miles north of Winfield.
