HUTCHINSON, Kan. β€” Another major livestock show is coming to the Kansas State Fairgrounds. Visit Hutch is excited to announce the Miniature Hereford Association will bring its Junior National Show to Hutchinson for the first time June 23 – 28, 2020. The five-day show will attract approximately 150-200 attendees and 300 head of cattle.

β€œVisit Hutch is thrilled to add another national junior livestock event to the host of events that are held at the Kansas State Fairgrounds each year. We always enjoy welcoming these youth competitors and are excited to host the Mini Herefords for this first time in June,” Holly Leiker, national sports and destination sales manager for Visit Hutch, said. β€œIt is great when we get to showcase the Hutchinson community to new visitors and highlight the many attractions, shopping and dining experiences we have to offer.”

Visit Hutch and the Kansas State Fairgrounds began working with the National Mini Hereford Association in 2016 and looked at the possibility of hosting a future Junior National Show in Hutchinson. The proposal for the 2020 Junior National Show was submitted in June 2019 and awarded in late December.
