Michael Douglas Enfield, 54, of Haven, died January 4, 2020, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. He was born February 12, 1965, in Hutchinson, the son of Charlie F. and Letha B. (Douglas) Enfield Jr.  Mike graduated from Nickerson High School in 1984 and worked as a maintenance mechanic at Johns Manville in McPherson. He served in the United States Army and Kansas Army National Guard from 1987 to 1995.

Mike was known as “the fun uncle” and loved to help people. He was very intelligent, creative, and could solve just about any problem. Mike was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hutchinson.

On October 24, 1987, he married Lori L. Pierce in Mattaponi, Virginia.  She survives.

Also surviving are: children, Joshua Enfield (Elizabeth Chasteen, Manhattan, Chelsea Ringler (Joshua, Hutchinson, Brittany Enfield, Haven, Amanda Enfield, Washington, PA, Alyssa Enfield, Haven, Casey Enfield, Haven; grandchildren, Coraline and Philip Ringler; siblings, Charlie Enfield III (Sondra, Hutchinson, Kaye Richmond, Hutchinson, Kimberly Enfield (Carnes, Longmont, CO; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 518 E. 43rd Ave., Hutchinson.  Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
