Helen Ingrace Anzo Alonzo, 95, of Hutchinson, died December 24, 2019, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born August 16, 1924, in Pierceville, KS, the daughter of Rafael Meza and Concepcion (Alatorre) Anzo. 

Helen was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church for over 50 years and was involved in Altar Society and other various religious groups.  Helen’s most important role in life was taking care of her family and helping others.  She raised four children, teaching them the values of life.  Helen was a faithful Catholic, sharing her faith with her children and grandchildren, who adored her.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Fred Alonzo, Sr.; her parents; six brothers, Andy, Ralph, Joseph, Phillip, Jessie and Tony Anzo; and three sisters, Ruth Anzo Ramirez, Wanda Anzo Strouse and Alice Anzo Trujillo. 

Helen is survived by: three sons, Fred Jr. (Patricia, Greg (Linda, B.J. Alonzo; and one daughter, Patty Higgins (Jack, all of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Augustine Anzo of Fountain Valley, California; and sister, Raphaela Anzo Garcia of Hutchinson.

Friends may call from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. today, Friday, December 27, 2019, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.  The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. today, Friday, at Elliott Mortuary.

Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2019, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th, Hutchinson, with Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
