NBC World Series Tournament Central
WICHITA, Kan. — The Hutchinson Monarchs begin single elimination bracket play at the 90th NBC World Series against the Liberal Bee Jays. First pitch from Eck Stadium on the Wichita State University campus is scheduled for noon.
The Monarchs finished pool play with a 1-2 record, winning its first game against TPA Texas, but losing the final games to Tulsa Sandlot and the Seattle Studs.
The Bee Jays finished its pool play with a 2-1 record, losing to Derby in the first game, before winning its final two over the San Diego Stars and the Boulder Collegians.
Bracket play began this morning at 9 a.m. with the Haysville Aviators facing the Kansas Cannons. The two other games this evening feature Lonestar Baseball Club North vs. GPS Legends and Tulsa Sandlot vs. San Diego Stars.
