Craig Bruce Shive, 64, died December 20, 2019, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born February 25, 1955, in Newton, the son of Ernest E. and Betty R. (Bomhoff) Shive. Craig graduated from Burrton High School in 1973 and attended Sterling College on a football scholarship.

He was co-owner of Triple S Tank Services for 40 years and then went to work as a contract laborer for Ressler Well Service in 2014. Craig had an intense love for his family and was an avid fisherman, active member of Hutchinson Watersports Club, and member of Haven Congregational Church.

On August 31, 1974, he married Kay Ann Kollath in Mount Hope. They shared 45 years of marriage. She survives.

Also surviving are: children, Kevin Shive (Kylie, Kingman, Kyle Shive, Mount Hope, Cassandra Shive, Haven, Katie Cooprider (Casey, Haven, Carissa Comer (Adam, Hutchinson; 15 grandchildren; brother, Delbert Shive (Sue, Burrton; sister-in-law, Brenda Shive, Mount Hope; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry and Jim.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Kent Pedersen officiating. Burial will follow in Burrton Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 6-8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
